UNIVERSAL CONTROL PANELS

DSC engineers wanted to design a control panel that set the benchmark

for tomorrow’s security needs. Different models of our then-current line-up could

accommodate many emerging security needs, but it would be better for all our

businesses if more needs could be satisfied across the range and within a smaller

range of models.

It would mean installers would find it easier to order the right panel. It would

mean fewer callbacks to upgrade the control panel as new technological features

were added to customer security systems.

It would make it easier for distributors to manage inventory. They could stock a

greater volume of fewer models, limiting back orders and improving service for

installers. For DSC it would mean simplifying and strengthening the business by

allowing production teams, engineering and product development to focus

optimal energy on maximizing quality and the reliability that has made DSC

famous all over the world.

For these reasons 3 advanced new control panels have been developed: the

PC1616, PC1832 and the PC1864.
